Hey Beauties!
So I thought I would take my blog in a slightly different direction by sharing some of my tips/beauty routines with you guys!
I love reading these types of posts on other blogs and thought maybe you would like to hear my take on everything beauty from my skincare routine to how I keep my feet soft and Summer ready!
Now, I know we all hate talking about feet but, sadly, we're stuck with them so that's all the more reason for us to pamper them from time to time.
With Summer rolling around fast, the thought of taking off our Winter boots and slipping on sandals can be terrifying so I thought I would share my top routine with you so that you're tootsies can be supple, soft and ready to shine this Summer!
Step 1- Exfoliate: As with most Summer skincare routines, the first step is to exfoliate those dead skin cells so that any moisture that follows can really penetrate the skin.
My favourite method for this is exfoliating gloves, a cheap but effective option that can be used alone, with a body scrub or with your usual shower gel which in turn will make it exfoliating.
As a sufferer of dry skin, I mainly use my gloves in the shower with a body scrub for the ultimate in dead skin removal!
Step 2 - Moisturize: For this step, I have 2 great budget buys!
The foot cream offering from Mane 'N Tail is a handy tube of practitioner strength cream that will have your feet twitching with glee.
A nice dollop of this worked into the skin is the answer for tired feet.
Another great foot cream is the Heel Genius from Soap & Glory.
This thick cream is slightly different from most as it's not something you simply rub in and forget about.
You smear a big dollop of this little beauty onto your skin right before bed followed by some thick socks and, when you wake up, your feet will be transformed.
For those of you that can't sleep with socks, just put it on over the weekend or when you want some pamper time and wear your socks on the couch while the cream does it's thing :)
Step 3 - Flash some colour: Lastly, it's time to forget about the greys and burgundys of Winter and paint on some bright nail shade goodness.
My personal favourite is Peach Melba from Barry M.
It's a lovely creamy peach colour that screams Summer and cocktails once it's on your toes :)
So there you have it ladies, pick a Sunday and indulge in this routine for some pamper/me time and your feet will be Summer ready in no time!
What do you think?
