Review | Avène Rich Skin Recovery Cream

Hey there :)

Calling all ladies with sensitive, irritated skin!!!

Even though we're in Spring, it seems like the weather (at least where I live) hasn't seemed to notice and our poor skin is still taking quite a beating everyday. Between rain, snow and strong winds, we subject our skin to so much that it can get irritated and sore very easily.

But also, it's not just the weather that puts our skin at risk, there are so many products out there that promise to be suited to our skin type, only to end up totally damaging our skin.

I have always have quite good skin, not sensitive and thankfully I rarely get spots....so imagine my surprise when I had a reaction to a certain product ( I won't name names...) which resulted in a patch of skin on my face becoming very dry and sore.

Seeing as I wasn't used to this, I had no idea which product would help.

So, imagine my surprise when, as I was trying out a product that the lovely people at Avène sent me, I seemed to find the perfect cure for my poor tired skin.

The product is their Rich Skin Recovery Cream and I just had to show it to you guys!

What They Say

This calming cream is especially designed for people with naturally sensitive skin (fair, thin, prone to redness) or skin which has become sensitive due to other reasons (climatic conditions, excessive cleansing, drying cosmetics or dermatological treatments). This cream claims to quickly calm irritation, help to restore the hydrolipidic film and provide long-lasting protection. This formula has been developed with a minimum number of gentle ingredients. This rich cream is paraben, fragrance and colouring agent free.

What I Say

I have to say, this cream has absolutely amazed me! The packaging is great, very clean and sleek looking. Like I said, a patch on my skin was very dry and sore and this cream was the only thing that didn't sting it. The formula was quite unique to me, it feels almost like foam and is very light on the skin. You squeeze out a small amount a time which I thought was great, as you're not wasting any product. You apply it to cleansed skin and it sinks in straight away and immediately soothed my skin, completely getting rid of any dry areas. I couldn't recommend this cream more and Avène as a brand are amazing!
