Review | Mermaid Perfume Oil

Hey there :)

Perfumes are definitely a little obsession of mine and my collection grows on a near weekly basis.
My bathroom shelf is nearly shaking under the weight of all of my perfume bottles and it's fast becoming a problem!
Having said that, I just love changing up my scent too much to have a ''signature scent'' so that leads to me buying more and therefore the cycle continues!

When I was recently sent a bottle of Perfume Oil from Mermaid, you can imagine how excited I was to add to my collection :)
Read on to see if this was a happy addition...

What They Say
Mermaid perfumes are made with 100% perfume oil and are designed to be mysterious, romantic and ethereal.
With a fragrance of Orange Blossom flowers, this will be your new favourite scent in no time!

What I Say
The scents I usually go for are either musky and sexy or fruity and fun so when I saw that this was a floral perfume, I had my reservations.
The packaging is handy, a small rollerball that's perfect for popping into your handbag.
The scent is quite overpowering, a powdery floral that eventually settles to be a pleasant more mature floral scent.
The one gripe I have with this is the lasting power, I apply this to my pulse points (behind each ear, on my wrists etc) and found that I could no longer detect the scent after a couple hours.
Having said that, this perfume is perfect for travelling and on-the-go touch ups so reapplying a few times during the day isn't too much hassle.
All in all, if you like strong floral scents then you'll love this, just don't forget to keep it in your handbag for touch ups :)
