Hey there :)
With the sunny months just around the corner, I have been scratching my head thinking how I can help you guys get summer ready!
From glowing tans to flawless skin, Summer is certainly the season where natural beauty takes center stage. But sometimes, while we're basking in the sun sporting minimal make up, we can forget that our skin is at risk and must be protected again sun damage.
People seem to underestimate just how important sunscreen is, even in Winter months facial sunscreen should always be used, unless you feel like aging your skin!
The people at Elemis know how important it is to look after your skin. They use natural active ingredients to create great products and professional spa therapies. Their formulations are designed to gently treat the skin with amazing results. Another great way to bring that spa-like feel to your home!
I was recently sent the Liquid Layer SPF 30 from Elemis to try out for you guys. The war against sun damage starts here!
What They Say
This cream promises to be your first line of defense against sun damage and skin aging. It provides water-resistant protection against UVA, UVB rays and pollution. Anti-oxidants and Photoprotectants help to defend against daily pollutants.
What I Say
I have a confession to make, I never use an SPF cream under my make up. There, I said it! As a beauty blogger, I should have great regimes for skincare and make up, but sadly I tend to be quite lazy in those departments. For this reason, I was really interested to try this product. Unfortunately, I live in Ireland so am in no danger of getting sunburnt any time soon, thus making me unable to review whether or not this product provides amazing sun protection etc. However, I can tell you guys what it's like to apply etc.
I really liked the packaging of this product, the nozzle is quite long and narrow so allowed for precise application. I was surprised by the texture of this, thin and runny and it smells slightly strange (the smell actually reminded me of glue). However, the scent soon faded and I could no longer smell it once it was on my skin. The cream was easy to apply and didn't leave my skin feeling greasy. Although it did feel quite sticky once applied, this did go away as the product sinked into the skin.
All in all, I liked using this product. It applies well, sinks into the skin quickly and it felt good to be protecting my skin that extra little bit. I would recommend that you guys check out this product if you want to protect your skin, especially with Summer around the corner.
Elemis products are available in a range of spas, department stores and Online here
What do you guys think?
Have you tried any Elemis products?
Stay Beautiful! xoxo

Thanks for the lovely comment you left on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI would love to follow you back =D
I also never use SPF under my make-up. I found that anything with sunscreen in it was too oily for my already oily skin. I felt that my make-up would disappear after about 3hrs due to my skin so I always avoided anything with extra oil in it. But living in Australia, even if it is winter, can get pretty sunny and I just don't want dark spots so im starting to incorporate sunscreen into my regime and it's worked out ok.
I love your blog and reviews. Please come visit my blog and i'll certainly be coming back here.
