Hey Beauties!

If there is one foundation that has had an incredible amount of hype lately, it's the Wake Me Up Foundation from Rimmel.
Hailed as the perfect foundation to achieve that dewy healthy skin look, this drugstore favourite has gained something of a cult status among bloggers everywhere.
I was never a huge fan of Rimmel over the years but lately it seems like they've really been on the ball with recent releases so I was dying to try out this holy grail product.
I popped along to Boots recently and picked up this foundation along with a few other products that I'll probably review on here too!

What They Say
This is the first Rimmel foundation that promises to reawaken and illuminate the skin, providing a radiant glow and natural-looking finish.
This foundation also contains Peptides and a Vitamin Moisturizing Complex to provide an amazing anti-fatigue effect.

What I Say
I love the packaging of this product, the glass bottle feels great quality and the pump applicator makes it easy to get the right amount of product.
I use about 2-3 pumps to cover my face and use the F80 brush from Sigma to apply it as that brush really buffs this foundation into the skin to give a natural effect.
All in all, I love this foundation,  it gives about medium coverage and leaves my skin dewy and so healthy looking!
I feel like it lasted all day on me without touch ups which was great although seeing as this foundation gives a dewy effect, I'm not sure it would be suited to those with very oily skin.
I am seriously impressed with this foundation and I do think it deserves all the hype it gets so check it out guys!

Me wearing the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade ''True Nude'' :)

The Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation is available from Boots and Superdrug.

What do you think?

What's your favourite foundation?

Hey there :)

I'm quite surprised to say that I haven't really bought make up in a while. In an attempt to break this trend, I popped into Boots the other day, determined to treat myself. I saw the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers on display and instantly swooned over the shade range.

I picked up three shades Apocaliptic, Luna and Stellar and thought I would do a review for you guys!

(L-R Luna, Apocaliptic, Stellar)

What They Say
Neither a lipstick or gloss, these lip lacquers promise to give the intense colour of a lipstick combined with the satin smooth shine of a gloss. Available in 7 shades, these babies are promising to make your lips stand out!

What I Say
I have heard so much about these and have been dying to try them out! The packaging is really cool and something different from Rimmel. The first thing I noticed about these products was the applicator. A traditional doefoot applicator with a well in the middle to ensure you get a great amount of product each time, I think this is definitely my new favourite applicator. The pigmentation of these lip lacquers is truly amazing, a little certainly goes a long way! They do need to be applied carefully to avoid bleeding but they are certainly worth the extra care. They feel great on the lips, smooth and moisturizing and last all day, leaving a nice stain on the lips once the glossy finish fades. You guys need to try these!

I will definitely be buying more of these beauties!

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers are available nationwide priced at €7.90.

What do you guys think?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
Hey there :)

This is one of the most exciting posts I've done! Basically, I've just done my first ever swap haul! If you don't know what a swap is, it's basically when you and another person on Youtube or wherever decide to buy each other things. You set a price limit, buy things you think they'd like and send it to them :)
So I did my swap with Cliona Ryan, who's a fellow Irish girl on Youtube and a total sweetheart. Click here to go visit her Youtube channel :) She does great videos and has great style.

So I thought you guys might like to see the things she got me and I will be reviewing some of the products soon. So here we go...
This is what I saw when I received my box of goodies! Such cute packaging!

Lovely goodies!

I was so excited to receive the Rimmel Fix + Perfect Pro Face Primer. It claims to smooth, resurface, brighten, mattify + protect the skin so we'll see how it goes.

I love the look of these nail wraps. I've never tried any before so I will be doing a review of them soon. I love how they look girly and edgy at the same time :)

I love this bracelet and the nude colour will look great with a tan!

OMG I love this makeup bag! It's such a chic black + white houndstooth pattern with a lovely black bow. This smelled lovely because she had filled it with perfume samples (I was a happy bunny). I will be reviewing some of the perfumes too!

She got me the cutest nail polishes from Essence. The purple one is called ''Break Through'' and the lilac one is called ''A Lovely Secret''.....such pretty summer colours.

I love these rings! L-R: The aztec style ring is from New Look, the coral flower ring is from Primark I think + the gold tribal style ring is from Topshop.

These lipsticks are actually from one of my favourite brands, Catrice. They are 2 lipsticks from the ''Ultimate Colour'' line. She got me the colours ''Pinkadilly Circus'' (cutest name ever?) + ''Princess Peach''.

I adore these sunglasses she got me! I think they're from Primark. They're a lovely brown tortoiseshell pattern and their structure remind me of Ray-Bans.

She also gave me an aztec inspired notebook and a cute butterfly print umbrella.

I have clearly left my favourite thing for last :) Click here to see the video where I announce my pregnancy (I'm currently nearly 6 months!) She got me the cutest double sided bib for the baby in a great unisex colour seeing as we're gonna leave the baby's gender a surprise :) It's so soft :)

So that was my first swap haul! What do you guys think?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo

So here we go.....my first proper blog post (nervous laughter)!

I thought it would be a good idea to start with a foundation review seeing as I have had a MASSIVE foundation crisis of late :( It all started with my hatred for the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation (yes I know everyone loves it so please don't hit me!). I bought this in London thinking it would be my little piece of foundation heaven and lo and behold, it was terrible!! So long story short, I took a trip to Boots where I tried my first ever 17 product, the Skin Perfecting foundation which yep you guessed it, was TERRIBLE!

So after a minor tantrum I discovered my holy grail foundation in Tesco and on special offer to make it even sweeter! It is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation!

This foundation comes in 6 shades:

  • Ivory
  • True Ivory
  • Soft Beige
  • Classic Beige
  • True Nude
  • Natural Beige
It promises to be transfer proof, hydrating and to give a lightweight feel. I chose the shade Soft Beige and am very happy! It may be just a tad too dark for my skin but seeing as I am a fake tan lover, I think things will be ok!

This gives such a flawless finish and after setting it with some powder, I can barely see any pores. Although I am nervous about it being drying on my skin, (it gives a more matt finish), I also feel this gives a nice incentive to keep up with my moisturising routine :) Also, a little of this foundation goes a long way....you have been warned! I apply mine with my fingers but plan to invest in a foundation brush as I can't find my Elf powder brush (starts bursting into tears).....

So I hope this post was helpful and leave any questions below!

Love,

Becky x
