Hey Beauties!

Spring/Summer is slowly approaching us and with it comes a whole host of fresh new collections from our favourite brands.
From fashion to beauty, I'll be with you every step of the way as all of these new launches can get a little overwhelming.
So sit back, relax and allow me to plough through all of these new 'must-haves' so that I can tell you only about the launches that I think are worthy of your attention.

First up, Sally Hansen, everyone's favourite nail polish brand.
The award-winning designer, Natalie B Coleman has partnered with the brand to bring you a collection that blends colour with femininity.
Sally Hansen are launching 6 new shades which are seasonally inspired and promise to refresh your colour palette.

The collection fuses soft feminine tones with contrasting vibrant hues to create the perfect synergy, a beautiful, romantic and bright collection.
The theme of this collection is 'Be Still My Beating Heart' and, due to the sheer variety of shades, you're sure to fall in love with at least one shade.

Feast your eyes ladies!

This collection will be available in selected pharmacies, department stores and grocery stores from March 2015.

Hey Beauties!

I've never been that into my nails, I just tend to find the whole process of painting them tedious and quite a chore.
Having said that, when my latest brand love Max Factor released their new *Gel Polish collection*, I was quite tempted to try them out and share my thoughts with you guys.
Read on to see whether these babies helped to change my opinion of the nail polish world...

What They Say
An exciting development in Max Factor nails, these new babies are a dream giving a gel-effect finish in just one coat.
With a high-shine colour, the rich, thick and self-levelling formula minimises streaks or brush marks.

What I Say
I love the packaging of these polishes, the touch of gold makes them look quite high end in my opinion.
I actually really like the shade range and would wear them all, from the vibrant orange to the teal, violet and obligatory festive reds, I feel like they've put a really good range together.
I do like the brush, it's wide enough to allow for easy application and the polish itself applies streak-free and smoothly and also dried quite quickly.
It was completely opaque in 2 coats and you could probably get away with 1 coat if you were in a hurry.
As for lasting power, it lasted a good 3 days on me with minimal chipping so I was quite happy with it (I feel like it would have lasted longer with a better top coat).
Check it out guys!

Max Factor products are available from all good drugstores.

Are you a gel polish fan?

Hey Beauties!

It's time for an article that's a little bit different: a book post!
I'm actually a total book worm and nine times out of ten you'll find my nose buried in a book being completely anti-social.
Which brings me to this post, the nail polish guru that is Leighton Denny has released a book called How I Nailed It (loving what he did there!).

Detailing his incredible journey from forklift truck driver to a celebrity nail and beauty expert, this book certainly makes for an inspiring and revealing read.
Becoming a global brand, creating the world's most expensive manicure and launching his luxury clinic are just some of the amazing achievements he has to his name.
If you're looking to be inspired or just want to read all about the drama, intrigue and showbiz encounters then put this on your shopping list asap!

Leighton had this to say about where he gets his inspiration from:

‘I get inspiration from so many things, just walking down the street I can see something and mind starts racing, or it can be from a negative, such as my tanning brand, I created this because I couldn't find a tanning brand that didn't make me itch when it was developing so sometimes the best inspiration can come from a negative rather than a positive.’

‘You have to stay relevant in this industry or you fall behind, so that's why I decided to diversify a little with all my brands, I wanted to have greater understanding of all things beauty and nails and become a true expert in the nail and beauty arena’
How I Nailed It is available now from all good bookstores and online.
What do you think?
Have you read it yet?

Hey Beauties!

Now I'm the first to admit that I'm not the biggest nail polish fan, I don't like faffing around with my routine and usually don't have the time to sit around waiting for my nails to dry.
Having said that, once Spring is in the air, I love the idea of rocking some pretty pastel shades on my nails.

On that note, a new Collection has been brought to my attention and I just had to share it with you guys!

Leading Irish designer Emma Manley and Sally Hansen, the USA's #1 nail brand, have joined forces for SS'14, fusing fashion and beauty together.
This Collection sees the launch of 6 new nail shades that will perfectly compliment the colourways that feature in the new Manley SS Collection.

Manley's SS Collection sees youthful shapes played against refined lines, reinforcing her love of contradiction within a garment.
There is a beautiful balance between hard + soft, light + heavy and powerful + delicate.
Emma has paired the new nail shades with her SS pieces in a similar way with patent and metallic leathers adding a playful twist to more serious pieces.

Feast your eyes on the new shades girls!

The new Sally Hansen SS shades are available from selected pharmacies, department stores and grocery stores nationwide, priced at €8.95.

Hey Beauties!

Being a mom, I feel like it's so important to take a few precious minutes for yourself each night to pamper yourself.
There's nothing I love more than curling up with hot chocolate and relaxing once my little girl is in bed and all my mom jobs are done :)
Lately, I've been enjoying doing my nails during this time and have been loving the results, who doesn't love sporting freshly painted talons?!

I was recently lucky enough to be sent some of the Strengthening Nail Colours from Liz Earle to show you guys and couldn't wait to try them out!
Read on to see what I thought...

What They Say
This chip-resistant formula glides on to give a glossy colour that lasts for up to 12 days.
Enriched with Avocado and Borage Oils, this polish is easy to apply and promises to help strengthen and protect the nails during wear.

What I Say
I love Liz Earle as a brand and am also a huge fan of their packaging, it's just so chic and expensive looking!
I was sent the shades ''Pure Poetry'' and ''Ebb Tide'' and couldn't be happier with them, they'll be perfect for the Winter months.
These polishes were easy to apply and, after 2 coats, I was left with an opaque glossy colour that lasted around 4-5 days before chipping.
Check them out guys!

Hey there :)

I'm quite happy to report that I've really gotten into my nails recently, whether it be painting my nails or applying fake ones, I'm loving taking time out for myself and indulging in a little ''me time''.
I used to be a chronic nail biter so that's where my love of fake nails comes from and it's fun experimenting with different lengths and designs.

There has been quite a lot of hype around Press-On False Nails for some time now and they do seem to offer the best of both worlds: you get professional-looking nails without using glue and damaging your nails.
When I was recently sent a set of Press-On Nails from Impress to show you guys, I was so curious to see what all the hype was about.
Read on to see if the hype is well deserved...

What They Say
These Press-On Nails allow you to achieve a salon finish for a fraction of the price and time!
Simply choose the right size nail for you, remove the tab and press onto your natural nail and you're good to go.
With over 24 different styles to choose from, there's something for every occasion and they last for up to 7 days.

What I Say
I love the idea of this product and think the packaging is handy, compact and perfect for popping into your handbag.
I was sent the shade ''First Date'' and think it's the perfect shade for Autumn/Fall as it's so warm, a lovely brown/slightly gray shade.
These nails are so easy to apply, there was a great range of sizes and I applied them within minutes.
They're not too long so you're still able to use your hands easily and they look so chic!
The downside for me was the lasting power, I lost a couple nails after a few hours and it continued to happen no matter how hard I squeezed them onto the nails.
Although, when you do take them off, your nails still feel smooth and not damaged in the slightest.
Overall, I think these are such a fun product and perfect for a special occasion so I would recommend them to you guys, I just don't know if they'll last you up to 7 days like they say.

The Impress Press-On Nails are available from Boots + Superdrug, priced at £7.99 for the plain nails and £8.99 for the patterned ones.

What do you think?

Have you tried press-on nails before?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
