Hey Beauties!

I have literally become obsessed with contouring this year and have to do it every day that I wear make up without fail.
I just don't feel right if I don't and I love to do the whole Kim K routine as that's just what works for me.

It seems like every drugstore brand has leaped on this trend and brought out their version of the best contouring product to achieve those chiseled cheekbones with Sleek having one of the first and best in my opinion.
Eager to try even more contouring products, I picked up the new contour release from Maybelline who are a little late on the bandwagon!
Read on to hear what I thought of it!

What They Say
This is the first 2-in-1 contouring release from Maybelline and is all you need for a sculpted look.
With a highlighter and contour powder in 2 expertly coordinated shades, this product makes the art of contouring so much easier.

What I Say
I love the packaging of this product, not only does it comes with the 2 powders but it also has a built in mirror and little brush so it's perfect for on the go application and touch ups.
The contour is a cool toned bronzer colour and doesn't look muddy at all and the highlight is not too shimmery but a little powdery.
I applied the contour with my contour brush from Blank Canvas and loved the result, it's very well pigmented so I like to add a little bit at a time.
The highlight was applied to the high points of my face and it is very subtle, great for those that like the natural look but I prefer something a bit more pigmented.
The contour powder is amazing though, great for creating the perfect contour shadow and it's great value for the price.
Check it out guys!

After using this contour kit.

The Maybelline Master Sculpt is available from Boots & Superdrug for €9.99.

What do you think?

Have you tried this kit yet?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
Hey Beauties!

I am a huge lip product fan and love changing it up between shades and finishes, they're probably my favourite product to play with.
With lots of you going on holiday lately, I thought you guys might be interested in hearing my recommendations for lip products to wear in the warm weather!

I hope you like it!

1. Rimmel Apocalips - 'Apocalyptic'
My love is strong for these guys, they are basically a liquid lipstick so you're getting the pigmentation and wear of a lipstick and the hydration of a gloss.
The colour range is fabulous, from nudes to bright pinks they have you covered, and they are super pigmented so be careful to stay within your lip line.
After a couple of hours the gloss will fade, leaving you with a beautiful stain to the lips that's not drying in the slightest.
Of them all, Apocalyptic is my favourite shade, it's a bright pink that screams Summer and makes these babies some of my favourite lip products!

2. Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil - 'In With Coral'.
These beauties are Maybelline's take on the Nars lip pencils and they are a beautiful product.
Very nicely pigmented, they have a smooth creamy texture and simply glide on the lips, giving a beautiful colour.
Even though they're a pencil, they don't feel rough on the lips and don't dry them out at all, they give a satin finish at first and dry down to a slightly more matte finish after a few hours.
In With Coral is a beautiful slightly shocking coral shade and if you can't wear that type of shade in Summer, then when can you?!

3. Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm - 'Vivacious'
These balms feel so comfortable on the lips, they're glossy and have a great amount of pigment to them, nothing shocking but enough to look like you've made an effort with your look.
They give so much hydration to the lips and last well and are easy to top up on the go, a great Summer product really.
My favourite shade I have is 'Vivacious', a brighter pink shade that does a great job of brightening up the face and finishing off a Summer look.
Once the gloss wears off, you're left with a balmy stain to the lips that feels so comfortable, a great product.

4. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet - 'Pink Pong'
These beauties are a great option for those of you that prefer your bright lip to be matte and less messy.
They glide on effortlessly, have a great pigment and dry down to a matte finish in a couple of minutes.
There's a great shade range here and they last very well on me, a good 6 hours, before being topped up so they're a total winner in my book!

5. Maybelline Colour Elixir - 'Mandarin Rapture'
If you suffer from dry lips or just prefer a glossy finish, then look no further than these babies.
Offering both hydration and gloss, they have a good pigment without being sticky at all.
Once the gloss wears off, you're left with a nice stain on the lips without drying them out at all so you guys should definitely check them out!

Swatches (top to bottom) Revlon ColourBurst in 'Vivacious', Rimmel Apocalips in 'Apocalyptic', Maybelline Colour Drama Pencil in 'In With Coral', Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 'Pink Pong' and Maybelline Colour Elixir in 'Mandarin Rapture'.

Hey Beauties!

If I could give my teenage self one piece of advice, it would be...don't tweeze your own eyebrows!!
I feel like so many of us fall victim to the dreaded over-plucking and, with brows becoming a staple in the make up world again, we're pretty much screwed.
I'm sad to say my brows are quite bad and have a few sparse patches that I'm desperately trying to grow out.

Ever since Cara Delevigne burst into the modelling world with her naturally full brows, the make up world fell over itself desperately trying to recreate the look.
With bushy brows fashionable again, every make up brand started pumping out brow products like nobodies business, hoping to cash in on this latest must-have.
I for one am always eager to try out these new releases as anything that can help my brows is a winner in my book.
The latest release that I have tried out for you guys is the Brow Satin brow pencil from Maybelline so read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
This pencil is all you need for natural looking brows!
On one side there's a gel-pencil for filling in gaps and shaping the brow and on the other side you'll find a powder that promises to define and set the brow.

What I Say
I tend to enjoy using these double-ended brow products, they're usually really handy to pop in your bag as one of those do-it-all products.
The gel pencil is good for filling in my sparse brows, it feels comfortable on the skin without being rough and dragging, I chose the shade Dark Brown and it was a good match for my dark brows
The powder on the other side is very pleasant to use, it feels velvety soft and does a good job of making your finished brows look natural.
I was worried about how long a powder set would last on my unruly brows however and opted to use a brow gel most days instead but, if you like that natural no make up look then the powder is great to just sweep through the brows on it's own.
All in all, I really like this product and think it's a bargain at around €8 so check it out guys!

Hey Beauties!

Mascara is something that can really make a difference to your face and whatever make up look you're wearing.
Whenever I put on eyeshadow, I feel like my eyes look like little slits until I put on a few slicks of mascara.
Maybelline are a brand that are pretty much known for their mascara offerings, with everyone raving about their falsies mascara (another one on my list of things to try!).

Usually being a fan of L'oreal and Max Factor mascaras, I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and try a new brand and what better time than when Maybelline released their new mascara, the Lash Sensational.
Receiving rave reviews from bloggers everywhere, I decided to give it a try so read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
With the brand's first ever layer reveal brush, this brush will sweep up every lash hair so no lash is left behind.
The inner bristles capture the tiniest lashes while the outer bristles volumise the look of longer lashes.

What I Say
I like the cute pink packaging of this mascara and the brush looks great, a plastic wand with longer bristles on one side and shorter ones on the other.
The idea is that you use the shorter side first to coat the lashes and then use the longer end to add volume and drama to the lashes.
I didn't find the formula to be too wet and the smaller bristles did a great job of grabbing the lashes and it was so much easier to reach the smaller lashes in the inner corners.
I found that this mascara gave me a great amount of volume, created a curl that lasted all day and just made my eyes look beautifully framed.
It takes me a bit longer than usual to remove but I don't mind when it's such a good budget product.
Check it out guys!

Maybelline products are available from Boots, Superdrug and online here.

Hey Beauties!

It's so scary to think that we're coming into May, the year is going by so fast!
Summer is sneaking ever closer and I for one am so excited thinking about the warmer weather, Summer clothes and general relaxation.

For this post, I thought I would show you guys some of the products I've been loving in the month of April!

Rimmel Apocalips - Apocalyptic - €7.99

You guys know that I'm a huge lip product fan and am certainly not afraid to wear colour so these beauties are a god send for me.
They're basically a liquid lipstick that are big on colour and somewhat stain the lips, ensuring you still have colour long after the gloss fades.
I really like the colour range, from light nudes to bright pinks and corals you're sure to love at least one and the red shade 'big bang' is a standout for me.
This month though I have been loving the shade 'Apocalyptic', a bright pink that screams Summer and looks amazing with a tan!

Maybelline Brow Satin Brow Pencil - Dark Brown - €8.99

Brows are huge now with the saying 'brows on fleek' seemingly on everyone's lips and there's nothing better than finding something from the drugstore that can help us with our ''fleekness''!
This product is double ended with a wind-up pencil on one side and a powder with smudger on the other, all to help you create natural looking brows.
I mainly use the pencil and love the shade, it looks really natural and doesn't leave my brows looking too dark.
You do need to lean quite a bit on the pencil to transfer the colour properly but the end result is well worth it.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush - Nude Mauve - €11.49

These blushes have created such a stir and are definitely one of the best launches of this year so far in my opinion, they certainly rival the Hourglass offerings and are a bargain in comparison.
I was lucky enough to be sent the collection and love the shade range, from berry pinks to coral tones and nudes, there's something for everyone.
This month I have been loving Nude Mauve, a beautiful more nude shade that's perfect for the days where you want something a little low-key on the cheeks and it's said to be a great dupe for Hourglass Diffused Light (I think that's the shade!).
These blushes are pigmented without being hard to work with and are easy to blend and of course the packaging and marbled effect are stunning to look at.

Revlon ColourStay Foundation - Rich Tan - €17.79

I had never tried much makeup from Revlon until this year and boy am I addicted now!
This foundation is something of a cult favourite with beauty lovers but is quite a high-end price for the drugstore.
I have the combination skin one and it's perfect, it gives a nice satin high coverage finish while blending out easily and not feeling too thick on the skin.
The shade Rich Tan is a great match for when I'm tanned and the lasting power is amazing, I use this on the days where I want my makeup to last and look flawless.
A total drugstore gem and something that might be included in my end of year favourites!

Loreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick - Molto Mauve - €13.49

Kylie Jenner and her lips are certainly achieving cult status with girls everywhere desperate to recreate her full lip look.
I personally love the look of bigger lips as long as they don't look ridiculous and the shade Molto Mauve is a great dupe for her shade in my opinion.
These liquid lipsticks are pigmented and have a great glossy texture so that you get a great colour without drying out your lips.
They don't feel super sticky at all, they're just really comfortable and last well for a glossier product.
I like to team mine with a nude liner I have from Essence to get that fuller look!

So there you have it, my April Favourites!

What's been your favourite product this month?

Hey Beauties!

We're coming to the end of another year which I feel is a good time to sit back and reflect on the year gone by.
Being a beauty blogger, I naturally cast an eye back to all the products I've gotten to test this year and I thought I would share my Top 10 beauty picks with you guys!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
I actually only bought this product a month ago but it's made such an impression that I had to feature it.
This is such a finely-milled highlighter that gives a natural beautiful sheen to the skin without looking fake and shiny.
It doesn't have any chunky glitter like some highlighters and it can double up as an eyeshadow.

Maybelline 24H Colour Tattoo in 'Pink Gold'
These cream shadow/shadow bases have certainly achieved a cult status and with good reason, I use the shade Pink Gold nearly every day.
It's the perfect shade to just swipe all over the lid and gives a subtle shimmer to the eyes.
It lasts all day on me and doesn't crease so is a definite winner in my book!

Max Factor Clump Defy Extensions Mascara
This mascara is one of my handbag staples and gets put to use everyday to transform my lashes from dull to fab.
With it's curved plastic brush, it coats each lash to offer some volume, a lot of length and a great curl that stays all day.
It doesn't flake on me at all and is easy to remove with my usual micellar water.

Sleek Brow Stylist in 'Dark'
This brow product is a first for the drugstore from it's slanted wax tip to the handy spooly on the bottom.
This is great for those that want to create a natural brow shape as the slanted tip makes it easy to add what looks like hairs for fuller brows.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation
This is hands down my favourite foundation of the moment and I love everything about the packaging from the glass bottle to the pump applicator.
It offers great buildable coverage, a good satin finish and lasts all day on me without going patchy or settling into fine lines.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I pair this translucent beauty with my foundation most days and love how it mattifies the skin and makes my foundation last longer.
I apply it with my Real Techniques Powder Brush and it doesn't look caked on the skin in the slightest.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer is touted as another must-have product and with good reason, it's all you need to re-awaken tired eyes.
With it's creamy and pigmented formula, it blends in effortlessly and doesn't settle into any fine lines.
I use this only under my eyes as it has a brightening effect and it does a great job of covering up my dark circles.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 'Kiss Of Life'
Matte lips are something I have discovered this year and I am loving the look that they give and are all you need to achieve that pin-up look.
Kiss Of Life is a pillar-box red shade and looks great with simple black liner and this is one of my go-to looks now.
Even though it's matte, it still feels creamy on the lips and doesn't dry my lips out at all, yet it lasts all day.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 'East-End Snob'
Lip liner has to be my biggest beauty discovery this year, I just love how it totally transforms and defines the lips.
East- End Snob is a pinkish nude shade and is great for a natural lip look.
The mechanical pencil has a slanted tip for easy application and the formula is soft and creamy so it doesn't drag on the lips at all or dry them out.

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum
Lastly I chose a skincare product and it is a beauty, perfect for those with tired skin that needs some TLC.
Avene are such a great brand and using this serum leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and it leaves a great tack to the skin, meaning that the moisturizer that follows will really stick.

So there you have it, those were my Top 10 Beauty Buys of 2014!
I can't wait for another year and for lots more beauty products!
