Hey Beauties!

Max Factor are a brand that I've loved for quite some time and I've featured their new releases on here a lot in the past.
They can be a little pricey for the drug store at times but they always deliver, especially with their mascaras.

One of their latest releases is their *Colour Intensifying Balms* and I was lucky enough to be sent the range to try out.
Read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
These balms offer a buildable colour, giving you complete control over your make up look.
The lightweight formula lets you bring the colour from a subtle sheen to a full and vibrant finish.

What I Say
I love the idea of these balms, let's face it normal lip balms can get quite boring and standard so a fun colour can be a real pick me up.
There is a great shade range here, 9 colours in total, and I feel like they're all wearable shades and run from dark vampy browns to fresh and summery corals and pinks.
They smell divine, so sweet and perfect for Summer, and the packaging is pretty also in my opinion.
They feel lovely on the lips, balmy and nourishing without feeling sticky or greasy at all.
These are great for days where you want to look natural but still want a little something on your lips to look put together.
Some of the shades do look similar on the lips but there are subtle differences so there definitely worth looking at.
Check them out guys!

These balms are available from Boots and Superdrug for €11.50 each.

What do you think?

Have you tried these balms?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo

Hey Beauties!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Max Factor are one of the stand out budget brands for me and I love almost everything I've tried from them.
From their mascaras to their blushes, they just pull it out of the bag each time and I get so excited whenever they release something.

So you can imagine my excitement when their *Masterpiece Max Mascara* landed on my doorstep, read on to see what I thought!

What They Say
This mascara promises to deliver bold, thick lashes with up to 400% volume but also defines and smooths at the same time.
The official mascara of Milan Fashion Week, this is all you need for beautifully framed eyes.

What I Say
I like the packaging of this mascara, the plastic wand doesn't hold too much product and the formula itself isn't too wet.
The brush does a great job of gripping the lashes and you can really get in there and coat every lash.
I found that this gave me a good amount of volume, some length and it held a curl quite well, nothing particularly holy grail but it did deliver well in each aspect a mascara can.
All in all, I enjoyed using this mascara and will continue to use it and think it will make a great daytime mascara for me.
Check it out guys!

What do you think?

Are you a fan of Max Factor mascaras?

Hey Beauties!

Unless you've been living under a rock when it comes to makeup, you'll have heard of the Ambient Lighting Powders and Blushes from Hourglass and all of the hype that they caused a while back.
Bloggers everywhere drool over Hourglass as a brand and they just always seem to hit the nail on the head when it comes to beautiful glow-giving products.
Personally, I have been patiently waiting for a drugstore brand to come to our rescue with an affordable dupe and it seems my prayers have been answered.

Max Factor have long been one of my favourite budget brands and have been creating a buzz all of their own with their latest release.
Their *Creme Puff Blushes* are the first product to really rival their higher-end counter part and I was lucky enough to be sent the range to try out.

Read on to see if they're deserving of their hype!

What They Say
These blushes are all you need to build a perfect cheek colour.
The multi-tonal pigments blend effortlessly for a gorgeous flush of colour so that you'll be looking catwalk ready in no time!
What I Say
I love the packaging of these blushes and the marbled effect is so pretty, I just want to stare at them all day!
There's a great shade range here and there's something for every taste, whether you like coral, pink or neutral toned blushes.
They're nicely pigmented and easy to work with, blending with ease and creating a beautiful glow to the cheeks that looks completely natural.
The standout shade for me has to be Nude Mauve, a neutral offering that really perks up the cheeks and adds a certain warmth to the face and can also double up as a contour shade.
They last very well on my skin and are quite buildable so you can take them from day to night, a total drugstore gem!

The Max Factor Creme Puff Blushes are available now from Boots and Superdrug and are priced at €11.49 each.

Are you going to try these blushes?

Hey Beauties!

Mascara is one product that I use everyday and I really don't feel ready or even awake without a few slicks on top of my tired lashes.
Max Factor mascaras are something that get slightly overlooked in my opinion, with more attention seemingly being given to brands like Maybelline.
Max Factor have released quite a few products lately and I have been enjoying trying them out, none more so than their *Masterpiece Transform Mascara*.
Read on to see what I thought!

What They Say
This revolutionary new mascara instantly creates darker, bigger and more dramatic lashes thanks to the new instant impact wand.
This small brush captures and volumises every lash effortlessly, with rows of rotating bristles ensuring that every lash is brushed through, captured and coated.
This all results in thicker and fuller lashes!

What I Say
I like the packaging of this mascara, the black and gold colours give a certain luxe feel which I love.
This mascara has a plastic bristle wand that is really flexible so does a good job of getting into those inner corners, making for a more even application.
I found that this product gave my lashes lots of volume without clumping or going spidery on me and also gave some length so it makes a good day to night mascara in my opinion.
At the end of the day, this mascara was easy enough to remove with my usual micellar water and didn't crumble or flake onto my face during the day which is certainly a plus.
Having said that, if you like to layer your mascara or prefer a more defined and separated lash look then this wouldn't really be for you.
So I would recommend this mascara but only to those that want a fuss-free mascara that applies in only one coat to give volumised lashes mainly.
Check it out guys!

The Max Factor Masterpiece Transform Mascara is available in Boots and Superdrug.

Hey Beauties!

We're coming to the end of another year which I feel is a good time to sit back and reflect on the year gone by.
Being a beauty blogger, I naturally cast an eye back to all the products I've gotten to test this year and I thought I would share my Top 10 beauty picks with you guys!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
I actually only bought this product a month ago but it's made such an impression that I had to feature it.
This is such a finely-milled highlighter that gives a natural beautiful sheen to the skin without looking fake and shiny.
It doesn't have any chunky glitter like some highlighters and it can double up as an eyeshadow.

Maybelline 24H Colour Tattoo in 'Pink Gold'
These cream shadow/shadow bases have certainly achieved a cult status and with good reason, I use the shade Pink Gold nearly every day.
It's the perfect shade to just swipe all over the lid and gives a subtle shimmer to the eyes.
It lasts all day on me and doesn't crease so is a definite winner in my book!

Max Factor Clump Defy Extensions Mascara
This mascara is one of my handbag staples and gets put to use everyday to transform my lashes from dull to fab.
With it's curved plastic brush, it coats each lash to offer some volume, a lot of length and a great curl that stays all day.
It doesn't flake on me at all and is easy to remove with my usual micellar water.

Sleek Brow Stylist in 'Dark'
This brow product is a first for the drugstore from it's slanted wax tip to the handy spooly on the bottom.
This is great for those that want to create a natural brow shape as the slanted tip makes it easy to add what looks like hairs for fuller brows.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25H Foundation
This is hands down my favourite foundation of the moment and I love everything about the packaging from the glass bottle to the pump applicator.
It offers great buildable coverage, a good satin finish and lasts all day on me without going patchy or settling into fine lines.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I pair this translucent beauty with my foundation most days and love how it mattifies the skin and makes my foundation last longer.
I apply it with my Real Techniques Powder Brush and it doesn't look caked on the skin in the slightest.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer
This concealer is touted as another must-have product and with good reason, it's all you need to re-awaken tired eyes.
With it's creamy and pigmented formula, it blends in effortlessly and doesn't settle into any fine lines.
I use this only under my eyes as it has a brightening effect and it does a great job of covering up my dark circles.

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 'Kiss Of Life'
Matte lips are something I have discovered this year and I am loving the look that they give and are all you need to achieve that pin-up look.
Kiss Of Life is a pillar-box red shade and looks great with simple black liner and this is one of my go-to looks now.
Even though it's matte, it still feels creamy on the lips and doesn't dry my lips out at all, yet it lasts all day.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 'East-End Snob'
Lip liner has to be my biggest beauty discovery this year, I just love how it totally transforms and defines the lips.
East- End Snob is a pinkish nude shade and is great for a natural lip look.
The mechanical pencil has a slanted tip for easy application and the formula is soft and creamy so it doesn't drag on the lips at all or dry them out.

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum
Lastly I chose a skincare product and it is a beauty, perfect for those with tired skin that needs some TLC.
Avene are such a great brand and using this serum leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and it leaves a great tack to the skin, meaning that the moisturizer that follows will really stick.

So there you have it, those were my Top 10 Beauty Buys of 2014!
I can't wait for another year and for lots more beauty products!

What do you think?

Hey Beauties!

Max Factor are definitely one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands and just seem to be on fire when it comes to makeup releases.
I've long been a fan of their mascaras, they're always reliable and get slightly overlooked in my opinion.

Max Factor have recently released some new products including their *Excess Shimmer Eyeshadows* so read on to see what I thought!

What They Say
These shadows feature a high-pigment formula with lasting power.
Available in a range of great shades, these babies are all you need to create a luxe eye look.
They promise to be suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers and last up to 12 hours.

What I Say
I love the packaging of these shadows, they're so dinky and great for travelling.
They are so pigmented and creamy and are just a dream to blend, perfect for just swiping on the lids on days where you want a quick makeup look.
I used these shadows for everything from a smokey eye to an eyeshadow base and found them to be long-lasting and they can be applied with either a brush or your fingers, although I would recommend a brush for the black shade.
The black shade did crease slightly on me which rarely happens so maybe use a primer with it.
I would definitely recommend them if you're looking for a long-lasting, fuss-free eyeshadow!
Check them out guys!

Max Factor products are available from Boots and Superdrug!
