Hey Beauties!

I am quite the lipstick lover/hoarder and have so many shades in my collection from the palest nude to the brightest purple.
Although that doesn't mean that I don't need more!
Always a fan of new lipstick launches, I was very excited when I heard about the Collection Exclusive lipsticks from L'oreal.
When one of your favourite brands releases a new product, it's pretty exciting but when that product is inspired by celebrities then the excitement goes to that of epic proportions.

The first collection was a range of nudes inspired by the skin tone of different celebrities followed by a  red collection soon after.
I may have been a bit late picking these up but I still thought you guys might be interested in hearing my thoughts so read on!

What They Say
The nudes collection consists of 6 custom made nude shades chosen by 6 iconic L'oreal spokespersons for a naturally radiant lip colour.
The exclusive reds collection included 4 custom made, enriching matte red shades that are tailored to every skin tone.
Enriched with velvet spheres, pure pigments and jojoba oil, these mattes will leave lips feeling more hydrated after application.

What I Say
Firstly, I think we all agree that the packaging of these lipsticks is amazing, especially considering it's drug store and I love the pattern on the red lipstick.
I chose the shades inspired by Eva Longoria as my foundation tends to be quite dark when I'm tanned.
I first tried the nude shade and it felt so creamy and hydrating on the lips, a peachy nude that's perfect for the days where you have a statement eye or just want a fuss free beautiful lip colour.
The red shade is a lovely sort of burnt/terracotta style red and a shade that I don't think I have anything like already.
Being a matte shade, I was worried that it would be drying but it just glides onto the lips and feels so creamy, not drying in the slightest.
They last well throughout the day but I do like to top them up after eating and drinking, I definitely think you guys should check them out (I have my eye on Blake's Red next!).

What do you think?

Have you tried a lipstick from these collections yet?

Hey Beauties!

Primer is a product that generally gets overlooked by me, which is odd considering that I own quite a few.
I usually just feel like they add an unnecessary layer on my face and, seeing as I don't usually have a problem with make up lasting on me, I don't feel like it's an important step.

Having said that, now that we're coming into Summer, I have realised that my make up is going to fade a lot faster in the sunny weather.
With this in mind, I was more interested than usual when I heard about the latest primer release from L'oreal, one of my favourite brands.
I picked it up hoping that it could solve my make up worries so, read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
This silicon-based primer promises to mattify, prepare and smooth the skin.
It will glide on seamlessly while minimising the appearance of fine lines and pores, the perfect pre-foundation step!

What I Say
I like the packaging of this, the squeezy tube is handy and the nib is great for squeezing out the right amount of product.
This clear primer has a slippy silicon texture to it and I like to use it mainly on my T-zone where I can get a bit shiny on a long day.
It doesn't feel heavy on my skin at all like some primers and sinks in quickly but, if silicon doesn't agree with your skin, then I would steer clear of this formulation.
I like to apply this underneath dewy foundations on the days when I want to tone down the sheen and it works very well as it doesn't make a dewy foundation dull, it still lets some radiance come through.
I found my foundation blended well over this primer and all in all it's just a great little product and one I'll get a lot of use out of in the Summer months.
Check it out guys!

What do you think?

Are you a fan of primer?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
Hey Beauties!

It's so scary to think that we're coming into May, the year is going by so fast!
Summer is sneaking ever closer and I for one am so excited thinking about the warmer weather, Summer clothes and general relaxation.

For this post, I thought I would show you guys some of the products I've been loving in the month of April!

Rimmel Apocalips - Apocalyptic - €7.99

You guys know that I'm a huge lip product fan and am certainly not afraid to wear colour so these beauties are a god send for me.
They're basically a liquid lipstick that are big on colour and somewhat stain the lips, ensuring you still have colour long after the gloss fades.
I really like the colour range, from light nudes to bright pinks and corals you're sure to love at least one and the red shade 'big bang' is a standout for me.
This month though I have been loving the shade 'Apocalyptic', a bright pink that screams Summer and looks amazing with a tan!

Maybelline Brow Satin Brow Pencil - Dark Brown - €8.99

Brows are huge now with the saying 'brows on fleek' seemingly on everyone's lips and there's nothing better than finding something from the drugstore that can help us with our ''fleekness''!
This product is double ended with a wind-up pencil on one side and a powder with smudger on the other, all to help you create natural looking brows.
I mainly use the pencil and love the shade, it looks really natural and doesn't leave my brows looking too dark.
You do need to lean quite a bit on the pencil to transfer the colour properly but the end result is well worth it.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush - Nude Mauve - €11.49

These blushes have created such a stir and are definitely one of the best launches of this year so far in my opinion, they certainly rival the Hourglass offerings and are a bargain in comparison.
I was lucky enough to be sent the collection and love the shade range, from berry pinks to coral tones and nudes, there's something for everyone.
This month I have been loving Nude Mauve, a beautiful more nude shade that's perfect for the days where you want something a little low-key on the cheeks and it's said to be a great dupe for Hourglass Diffused Light (I think that's the shade!).
These blushes are pigmented without being hard to work with and are easy to blend and of course the packaging and marbled effect are stunning to look at.

Revlon ColourStay Foundation - Rich Tan - €17.79

I had never tried much makeup from Revlon until this year and boy am I addicted now!
This foundation is something of a cult favourite with beauty lovers but is quite a high-end price for the drugstore.
I have the combination skin one and it's perfect, it gives a nice satin high coverage finish while blending out easily and not feeling too thick on the skin.
The shade Rich Tan is a great match for when I'm tanned and the lasting power is amazing, I use this on the days where I want my makeup to last and look flawless.
A total drugstore gem and something that might be included in my end of year favourites!

Loreal L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick - Molto Mauve - €13.49

Kylie Jenner and her lips are certainly achieving cult status with girls everywhere desperate to recreate her full lip look.
I personally love the look of bigger lips as long as they don't look ridiculous and the shade Molto Mauve is a great dupe for her shade in my opinion.
These liquid lipsticks are pigmented and have a great glossy texture so that you get a great colour without drying out your lips.
They don't feel super sticky at all, they're just really comfortable and last well for a glossier product.
I like to team mine with a nude liner I have from Essence to get that fuller look!

So there you have it, my April Favourites!

What do you think?

What's been your favourite product this month?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
Hey Beauties!

Of all my make up pieces, I would have to say that I'm a total foundation collector/hoarder deep down.
I'm pretty much a fan of all finishes and love to rock everything from a dewy look to matte, depending on the occasion.
L'oreal are one of my favourite make up brands and I have pretty much all of their foundations so when I heard they released a new one...you can imagine my excitement!

Read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
This foundation delivers a matte result that last up to 24 hours and is also clinically proven to be waterproof and steam-proof.
Easy to apply, it is enriched with perlite technology and reduces the appearance of shine so that you can have all the coverage with none of the shine!

What I Say
I love the packaging of this, the squeezy tube is perfect for travelling and popping in your handbag and the little nozzle is great for controlling the amount of product you get out.
I chose the shade Honey, which is the darkest shade so hopefully they will add more shades for people but it's a good match for me when I'm tanned.
The texture isn't too thick at all and I found it easy to blend out with my buffing brush.
It dries down to a matte finish and the coverage is great, easy to build up the layers and it really does look flawless.
It is important to have a good moisturiser on underneath though as matte foundations will stick to dry patches and really highlight them so I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry/very dry skin.
Combination/oily skinned girls will love this though, it's really long-lasting and just a great all rounder in my opinion.
If you do have dry skin, then maybe you could try use this product in conjunction with a more hydrating primer.
I definitely recommend that you guys check this out the next time you're make up shopping!

L'oreal products are available at Boots, Superdrug and online here.

Hey Beauties!

Foundation is something that I genuinely love and collecting them is somewhat of a hobby at this stage.
I really don't feel awake without a pump or two of foundation and love how you can pick up different finishes to suit your mood.
Some foundations enjoy a cult status and are touted as must-haves and the True Match Foundation from L'oreal is definitely one of them.

I recently picked up a bottle when I was in Boots (along with lots of other bits!) so read on to see whether this baby lived up to the hype!

What They Say
Available in 20 shades covering all skin tones, this super blendable foundation perfectly matches the colour and texture of your skin.
It promises to hide imperfections with it's creamy texture resulting in a flawless coverage!

What I Say
I love the packaging of this foundation, a glass bottle with a pump applicator and lid, pretty much the dream drugstore packaging am I right?!
There is a great shade range with this product especially considering that it's a more affordable price range so I went for N4 Beige to match my fake tan.
This foundation has been hailed as a dupe for the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation so it's a great pick for those that can't afford the higher-end option.
I found this to be a great medium to full coverage foundation that is easily buildable and not heavy on the skin at all.
I like that it's not a thick formula so still feels light on the skin despite the coverage it gives and it blends easily with my flat top kabuki brush.
The finish is somewhat satin, not too matte that you look dead and not shiny at all so a great all round product that is also long-lasting.
I do think it's suitable for all skin types, however if you have quite dry skin then I would recommend just using a good moisturizer underneath.
All in all, I love this foundation for the days where I want a good coverage and for my makeup to last throughout the day.
Check it out guys!
