Hey Beauties!

For this post, I thought I would be little miss helpful for you guys and tell you about some of my essentials for Summer.
In make up terms, Summer can be stressful as the (hopefully) warm weather can play havoc with our looks which makes longevity and long wearing products a must have.
I hope you enjoy my picks!

Fake Tan
Even in Winter, I can't be without my fake tan so it's a given that it's a complete Summer essential for me.
You just can't beat the healthy glow a tan gives you and I feel so much better and slimmer when I wear it.
I feel like it's important to think about the cost of tan as most bottles only last for a few full body applications.
Two tans that I love are both available in Primark and are the St. Moritz and Sunkissed tans, both great budget options.
These babies blend easily, don't streak or go patchy and can be removed easily enough with a good exfoliant.
My tan lasts me around 5 days and, once you shower off the guide colour, the biscuit like scent disappears!

Foot Cream
I'll try keep this one short as none of us enjoy talking about feet but it really is important to look after your tootsies as they will be on full display this Summer thanks to all the sandals people are sporting.
A good, thick foot cream is a must for looking after our feet, especially the heel area that can dry out easily, and I feel like the Heel Genius from Soap & Glory is a great choice.
With a beautiful scent and thick texture, this cream is great to slather on the feet along with fluffy socks so that your feet can get nourished while you relax!

3. Body Moisturizer
Along the same lines, it's important to keep our bodies moisturized especially if we're going to be sporting a lot of tan.
While I love body butters for a deep dose of hydration, they can be a little much for the hot weather so a Body Sorbet from The Body Shop is a great alternative.
These beauties are lightweight and hydrating while also being nourishing and smelling great.
They come in a great variety of scents and sink into the skin quickly without leaving a sticky residue so that you can go out and enjoy your Summer day as quick as possible.

4. SPF
It should go without saying that you need to wear a good SPF all year round, but especially so on your face when the Summer months roll around.
We all know of the untold damage that sun rays can do so please make sure to stay safe this Summer and put some on every morning.
Clarins are known for their great suncare range and have managed to deliver a facial SPF 50 that is neither sticky nor clogging for the pores.
An all round winner!

Face Powder
During the Summer months, the dreaded shiny face can be the bane of our existence so make sure to stay prepared and throw some face powder in your bag (OK so maybe don't throw a powder!).
I love the Stay Matte powder from Rimmel and use it everyday on my T-zone, I have the translucent shade and it does a great job of giving that matte finish.
It doesn't cake up on me and lasts well throughout the day without breaking down and it's so affordable, a total winner for me!

Light Base
When the sun is out, you don't want to smother your face in a heavy thick base, your skin will need to breathe after all.
During these times I do like to use a lighter base and the CC Cream from Bourjois is amazing for this and is totally worthy of all the hype it gets.
It gives good medium coverage, is easy to blend and gives a radiant finish that doesn't look overly dewy, just really natural and pretty.
I like to set it with some powder and I'm good to go for my day!

Salt Spray
You can't beat that surfer chick look and what better way to achieve that than with some beachy looking waves in your hair?!
Salt sprays have caused quite a stir, none more so than the Surf Spray from Bumble and Bumble, and it's safe to say that I am a huge fan.
My hair is quite dry so I can't use it too much but I love just spraying it through freshly washed hair to add a bit of texture and grit.
It leaves your hair with a nice wave and matte look, just like if you'd just been in the sea!

Body Spray
This might sound strange but I sometimes find perfume to be too overpowering in the Summer months and when I constantly smell a strong scent, I can actually start to feel quite nauseous.
It's because of this that I find body sprays are a lot better for Summer, you just can't beat a light summery and fruity scent when you're out and about.
I Love... do a great range of body sprays in lots of different scents, they last well for a body spray and are the perfect size to pop in your handbag for on the go touch ups!

So there you have some of my Summer essentials, I  hope you enjoyed it :)

What do you think?

What's your top Summer essential?

Hey Beauties!

I am a serious fake tan addict and have tried nearly every brand under the sun and have lots of favourites when it comes to faking that golden glow.
When it comes to faking it, darker is better in my opinion so I go for products that promise to have me looking like I just came back from holidays.
There are so many products out there promising everything from rich scents, deep glows and gradual hints for those that are wary so there really is something for everyone.

Cocoa Brown are an Irish tanning brand that have really exploded onto the scene with their range and are quickly becoming the go-to brand around these parts.
For some strange reason, I never tried their tans so when I got the chance to review their *1 Hour Tan*, I jumped at the chance!
Read on to see what I thought!

What They Say
This revolutionary speedy tan has accelerating ingredients so that it can develop into a rich colour in just 1 hour.
This tan has a signature Gardenia scent and is moisturizing and kind enough to be used on both the face and body.
The easy-to-apply mousse is fast-drying and non-sticky and will fade evenly after about 5 days.

What I Say
I love the packaging of this tan, it's sturdy with a pump applicator which is handy and of course I'm a fan of the girly pink colour.
Usually mousse formulas can leave the skin feeling quite dry but I don't feel that with this tan and the scent is lovely and floral.
I use a tanning mitt to apply it and found that it applied and blended easily without streaking and developed quickly after 1 hour.
After rinsing off the guide colour, the tan lasted well and faded nicely without going patchy.
As with all tans, there is a slight biscuit smell but it's far less noticeable compared to other tans that I've tried.
All in all, this is a great tan and perfect for using for a night out or special occasion when you don't have enough time to wait for an overnight tan to develop.
Check it out girls!

Cocoa Brown products are available from Primark stores and all good drugstores.

Hey Beauties!

I used to think I was familiar with all the tanning brands out there but from time to time, I'll discover a hidden beauty that will have me head over heels.
Tan Organic are such a brand and they recently sent me one of their tanning oils to try out and I must say I was sceptical first.
After all, oily products are supposed to break down tan so I visualised myself as an oily mess with a patchy colour!
Nevertheless I tried it out so read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
Say hello to the world's first self tanning oil!
This award winning oil is a moisturising dry oil with a subtle tan to give you that JLo glow in no time.
It promises to illuminate the skin with a beautiful glow and is all you need to rock that 'I just came back from my holidays' look!

What I Say
I love the packaging of this tan, the glass bottle gives it a luxe feel and I must also thank Tan Organic for the exfoliating mitt and chocolates they also sent.
I like to apply this tan with a mitt and noticed that there is no guide colour but you can still see where you've applied due to the subtle sheen to the skin so just keep that in mind.
This product left my skin feeling moisturised and nourished without being greasy but it still needed a few minutes to fully sink in which I didn't mind at all.
After using this tan, I was left with a lovely colour and glow to the skin that looked completely natural and I didn't have any streaks.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this tan to those of you that not only want to tan but want to nourish your skin also.
Check it out guys!

What do you think?

Which is your favourite set?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
Hey Beauties!

You guys know that I love my fake tan and feel so confident when I have tanned and glowing skin.
I've tried so many brands and have a large variety of favourites ranging from budget to luxury offerings and am always on the lookout for more to add to my stocks.

LDN Skins are a brand that I hadn't heard of before so when their *mousse fake tan* landed on my doorstep, I was super excited to give it a whirl!

What They Say
This tan has a lightweight, fast-drying formula that won't clog pores and can be applied in the morning or before bed with confidence.
A tonal bronzer shows where the mousse has been applied, whilst giving an instant sunkissed colour that washes off later.
This product will develop into a natural-looking tan within 6 to 8 hours.

What I Say
I like the packaging of this tan, the sleek black design is a little something different and stands out on my shelf.
This tan did come with a mitt but I wasn't a fan of that as it didn't blend the tan at all and pretty much just moved it around my skin instead.
I was a fan of the product itself however, it applied easily and I liked that it gave an instant hint of colour thereby reducing the risk of streaking.
The next morning, I was left with a sun-kissed glow that looked great and wasn't streaked in the slightest so, all in all, I'm a fan!
Check it out guys!

Hey Beauties!

I recently wrote an article announcing the new Cocoa Brown ambassador, Vogue Williams.
Vogue is an Irish model, DJ and fashion icon and is certainly a great fit for the brand due to her fun personality and obvious beauty.

Being a model, Vogue clearly takes care of herself and always looks stunning from head to toe, especially her legs.
Whether she's wearing a dress or skirt, Vogue's legs always look flawless and glowing and Cocoa Brown and I are here to tell you guys how to get that look!

Okay, I can't promise that your thighs will look as perfect and cellulite-free as Vogue's but they will definitely be improved so read on to find out how to get glowing pins...

Step 1:
Use Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff Body Scrub in the shower to remove dull, dry skin.

Step 2:
Apply Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip Oil-Free Body Moisturizer to any areas of dry skin such as elbows, knees, hands and feet.

Step 3:
Using the Pink Tanning Mitt, apply a generous layer of Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Dark.
Allow to develop for between 1 and 3 hours before showering depending on how dark you want your tan.

Step 4:
Using the Pink Tanning Mitt, apply Cocoa Brown Lovely Legs Spray to your legs.

Step 5:
Step into your favourite pair of white shorts or a white skirt to really show off those beautifully bronzed pins!

The Cocoa Brown Tanning Range is available from Primark, Dunnes, Boots, Tesco and Superdrug, among other pharmacies.

What do you think?

Are you a fan of Cocoa Brown?

Stay Beautiful! xoxo
