Hey Beauties!

I am a huge candle lover and my collection has grown to almost embarrassing proportions.

With Yankee being my candle brand of choice, I'm always open to trying new brands and scents and love sharing my new found loves with you guys.

Brooke & Shoals are an Irish company that specialise in high quality candles made with natural wax so when they sent me 2 of their *candles*, I was dying to try them!

What They Say

Made with natural, sustainably sourced soy wax, these candles are kind to the environment with their clean and toxin-free burn.

They are scented with a high level of fragrance oils and essential oils to give a beautiful lasting aroma and, coming in beautiful ribbon tied boxes, they make the perfect gift!

What I Say

This brand has really killed it in the packaging stakes, everything from the box to the candle itself screams luxury.

I was sent a Tea Rose scent and Sandalwood scent and I truly loved them both which I was surprised at because I usually don't like rose scents.

This scent however was lovely and feminine without being too heady or old lady like.

I love to burn these in the evening when I've put my little girl to bed and they make me feel so relaxed, their aroma fills my living room without being overpowering.

They also have a very even burn which I think is so important as no wax gets wasted and they don't give off any soot like some candles I've tried.

I feel like these would make a very thoughtful gift for someone special and I'll certainly be keeping them in mind when my mom's birthday rolls around.

So thought I would do a post today on gift ideas for Mother's Day!

If you're like me, then you'll be dying to spoil your mom but sadly maybe the pennies don't stretch that far. So here are my top 5 budget picks :)

1. Indulgence Sets

These are perfect for your mom to sit back and relax, especially if she's interested in trying new products :)

Sanctuary Spa do some great products that I have used over the years and I couldn't recommend Soap & Glory enough! The Righteous Butter body butter smells DIVINE!

2. Candles

3. Jewellery

Now my mom loves her jewellery, so what better present than a beautifully designed jewellery holder :)

4. Spa Day

This is a slightly more expensive present but you can also save money by booking your mom in for just one treatment, like a Manicure or Massage :)

I highly recommend the Escape Spa, there is one in the Imperial Hotel in Cork, but you can pick your local spa too :)

5. Sentimental Presents

These are probably the most thoughtful presents. It can be anything you want, from a personalised family photo album that you've put together, to a family keepsake box.
