Hey there :)
Lately, I've been quite proud of myself when it comes to skincare.
I've been making a big effort to maintain a strict regime that will ensure my skin is ready for that ''no-makeup'' look this summer. However, one thing I've never used is an eye cream. I used always dismiss them as something for ''older women'', something to be used to help treat wrinkles etc.
Recently, I was sent out the Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue to review for you guys so I went on a research mission to try and determine whether or not eye cream is an essential when it comes to skincare. What I found out was quite surprising!
It turns out that the eye area is one of the first places to develop wrinkles, due to the amount of times we blink. Also, the under-eye area has a small number of sebaceous glands, making it very prone to dehydration and skin aging. Eye creams are used to help prevent the signs of skin aging.
After discovering this, I was dying to try this eye cream!
What They Say
This non-oily cream is designed to be very lightweight and intensely refreshing. It claims to moisturize, soothe and refresh tired eyes. Fragrance free, this cream is suitable for even the most sensitive eyes.
What I Say
Like I said, I was very excited to try an eye cream and, after hearing great things about Caudalie as a brand, I was full of great expectations. I like the packaging of this cream, it looks luxurious and the applicator is great for precise application. The texture of this cream is great, thin and slightly watery so it doesn't feel very heavy or greasy on the skin. It sinks in almost immediately, leaving you with very soft skin.
After putting this to the test, I'm very happy. My eye area seems brighter, moisturized and more hydrated. I still have dark circles under my eyes (hard to avoid when you're a mother) but they do seem slightly better. All in all, I'm very happy and will definitely keep using it.
I've found a welcome addition to my skincare routine!
