Hey Beauties!

Now that Winter is upon us with the much anticipated festive season creeping ever closer, there are many couples out there that will be getting inspired by the romance of the Winter season and will be getting either engaged or married.
This made me think that you guys might be interested in seeing what affordable dresses are out there that won't make you sacrifice style.
CocoMelody are a website that I've mentioned on here before and I'm definitely a big fan of their designs.
Expert dress makers for the past 15 years, this brand was inspired to help brides-to-be find their ideal dress that was both high in quality and low in price.
Operating under the simple idea that every bride should have the dress of their dreams, no matter what her budget is.
Initially starting with wedding dresses, they have since expanded and offer everything from bridesmaid dresses to special occasion dresses.
Offering a customization service also, you're sure to find your perfect dress whether you're looking for a vintage number or at their vast array of beach wedding dresses.
They take their inspiration from the fashion trends of the world and the top wedding fairs to deliver a quality product to brides everywhere.
Whether you would like your dress to feature silky satin or elegant lace, they offer a wide selection of quality fabrics that are imported worldwide.
Feast your eyes on some of their designs!

I love their collection of 2016 wedding dresses, they're just so high end and elegant looking.
I love the amount of diversity in their collection, if you want to walk up the aisle in a dramatic floor sweeper or want to embrace years gone by in a vintage lace number, then they have the dress for you.
My personal favourite would have to be the strapless dress, the material looks beautiful and it makes the waist look tiny so it's super flattering.

CocoMelody are having a sale campaign at the moment so be sure to check out the website so you can grab yourself a bargain for your next special occasion!

Hey Beauties!

I was never a big lip gloss lover before and much preferred a good statement lipstick any day.
I just didn't see the point in lip gloss, it didn't last as long and the pigment was never as strong as a lipstick.
That was until my lips started to become more dry and chapped and I realised I needed to start giving them more hydration.

When it comes to buying make up, Rimmel are always my first port of call as they're just so affordable and I love most of what I buy from there.
One their latest launches this year have been the Oh My Gloss lip glosses which created quite a stir among the blogging community.
I recently picked up 2 shades from the collection so read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
These glosses have a non sticky, lightweight formula that provides a cushion soft feel to the lips.
They give true colour, a high shine and also contains Argan Oil and Vitamin E to help nourish the lips.

What I Say
I like the cute packaging of these glosses and the applicator is something different, longer than a doe-foot, it lets you get right into the corners of the lips for an easier application.
They smell lovely and come in a great range of colours with both nudes and brights on offer and even a clear gloss too.
These are slightly thicker than a normal gloss but they don't feel sticky at all and feel so nourishing on the lips.
They have a nice pigment for a gloss and my 2 shades have a beautiful shimmer to them that makes the lips look lovely and full.
All in all, I would recommend these glosses to anyone that wants a good quality gloss especially those with dry lips.
Check them out guys!

The Oh My Gloss glosses are available from Boots & Superdrug for €6.99 each.

Hey Beauties!

Being a glasses wearer, I go through phases of loving and hating mascara.
I just feel like so much of my eye area is covered by my glasses to the point where mascara can feel a little pointless at times.

Having said that, I do get tempted to pick up a new mascara now and then especially when it's from one of my favourite drugstore brands, L'oreal.
L'oreal are known for their good quality products and, when you look at that lovely packaging, you can't help but give in (I can't anyway!).
My latest purchase from them has been their So Couture mascara, another addition to the Volume Million Lashes line.
Read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
This mascara will dress your lashes in a beautiful black silk for the perfect lash definition.
The couture brush has been tailored to coat every lash without clumping while the small bristles gently thicken each lash.
All of this will give you a refine volume so that you can say goodbye to stiff lashes and a big hello to defined ones!

What I Say
I love the glossy packaging of this mascara and think that it does look more high end than a drugstore mascara usually does.
The wand is plastic and made well, the smaller tip is perfect for getting into the corners of the eye to coat smaller lashes and the thicker bottom is great for packing on product where you want it.
After applying one coat of this mascara, I found that it did a great job of separating and defining my lashes and didn't clump or feel stiff at all.
I feel like the term 'refined volume' suits this mascara very well as it gives good volume but nothing too dramatic so it does a great job as a daytime mascara.
After wearing this all day, I found that it held a curl really well and I didn't get any smudging or anything so it's a real winner.
Check it out guys!

Hey Beauties!

I know we're not all loving the colder weather but I'm actually looking forward to the new Winter launches popping up and incorporating the latest trends into my wardrobe.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's important to stay true to your own style and not to blindly follow trends, but I think it's fun putting my own spin on the latest looks.

I thought you guys might also be excited to see the latest trends inspired by the various fashion weeks so curl up and feast your eyes on what to expect for this season!

1. Boho
Possibly the most popular high street trend to come off the catwalk has been boho, the true seventies revival that happens every few years or so.
Even though it's Winter, maxi dresses are featured and given a boho twist with a teal and olive colour palette and teamed with little waistcoats.
This trend is all you need to channel your inner Kate Moss, think flared jeans, paisley print galore and cozy ponchos and you're on the right track.

2. Victorian
They say if you hold on to anything long enough, it will come back into style eventually and that is definitely true this season.
The Victorian Age has given plenty of inspiration to designers this year with a beautiful Gothic glamour flowing down the catwalks.
The Victorian Age was known for feminine details and delicate fabrics and not to mention an abundance of frills which have also been included believe it or not.
If you're not in the mood to cover your outfit in frills, then you can subtlety try this trend with a piece like a ruffled blouse or sheer fabric.

3. Military
One of my favourite trends and possible the easiest to incorporate into a working wardrobe is Military chic.
Green and taupe are still strong with this trend but I'm noticing a lot of stone pieces which should take you through to the warmer months too.
I adore the military inspired coats, they're a great mix of function and fashion with the button detailing hitting this trend on the head.
Khaki jackets are still going strong this season and tailoring does also play a part, just try a cropped pair of trousers instead of your usual length to add a military edge to your look.

 4. Code Red
Of all the shades sashaying down the catwalk, red was certainly the colour that was grabbing the most attention and with good reason.
Red is the ultimate colour for the confidant woman and, with all the different hues on offer, it can take you from the office to the bar.
If you're too shy to rock top to toe red, then simply try a red accessory like a waistcoat or handbag so you will still have a pop of attention.
Camel is another shade that is huge this season and it luckily goes great with red so team some camel heels with a red dress for your next date night!

5. Faux Fur
Fur was all over the catwalk this season and, thankfully, the high street has plenty of faux options so that you can rock this trend with a clear conscience.
Shearling caught everyone's attention last February and has been adorning handbags and accessories ever since.
Fur coats will play a huge part and will also be huge in design, very over the top and bulky, which I love but may not be to everyone's taste.
If you don't fancy looking like a bear this season, then simply opt for a coat or accessory with fur accents.

So there you have it, that's my round up of some of the trends that you can expect to see this season!

Hey Beauties!

Now that we're slowly coming into the Winter season, it's time to start thinking of what we'll wear during the ultimate party season.
I feel like, during Winter and Christmas, anything goes from super sparkle to a daring hemline and it's a great time to have fun with our looks.
I personally love piling on the sparkle and glam for a Winter party and love any excuse to dress up.

During my usual online shopping jaunt, I spotted some of the new prom dresses from the promtimes.co.uk and thought they were so pretty.

PromTimes.co.uk is a website that aim to give you the most up to date fashion at a bargain price.
They are one of the world's leading online retailers and offer a wide array of fashionable brands.

I love the sheer variety when it comes to their special occasion dresses, whether you want to be the belle of the ball in a floor length sweeper or want to dance the night away in a shorter number, they have something for you.
One of my favourite dresses has to be the navy blue floor sweeper, it just screams class and elegance and I feel like it would look amazing with a tan.
Another favourite of mine would have to be the short and sassy red dress, the bright colour is perfect for the festive season and the length is perfect for dancing and having fun at a party.

Feast your eyes girls!

I also love how they cater to every body type with the large range of dress shapes so that every girl can feel comfortable.
If you feel uncomfortable with your legs, simply opt for a full length beauty and if you have an hourglass figure then choose an a line offering to show off that waist.

All in all, I really like the PromTimes.co.uk website and the pieces they offer, they're current yet timeless and really make the wearer feel beautiful.

Check them out girls!

Hey Beauties!

You guys know that I love make up and have a slight shopping addiction so Boots is a dangerous place for me to go!
I just love perusing the aisles and drooling over the latest launches.
Bourjois are a brand that have really proved themselves to me this year and I've been loving trying out their stuff.

One of their newer releases this year has been the Aqua Lacques, an addition to their Rouge Velvets line, and I couldn't wait to try them.
I picked up a couple shades on my latest shopping trip so read on to hear my thoughts!

What They Say
These liquid lipsticks will give you mirror-like shine, intense colour and 10 hour hydration.
The non-sticky formula will glide on easily, feeling water-light on the lips and it also contains Nymphaea to smooth and moisturise the lips.

What I Say
I love the glossy packaging of these products and they're the same handbag friendly size as the normal Rouge Edition line.
They have a doe-foot applicator that makes it super easy to apply the product, especially along the outer lip line.
I love the sensation these beauties give me, it literally feels like you're putting water on your lips so I do think they'd be good choices for those with dry lips and they also provide a lovely cooling sensation.
The darker of the shades did apply a little streaky and took a bit of work to apply evenly but the finished result was quite pretty and the lighter shade was beautiful.
Due to them being glossy, they don't last super long on the lips but, with the process of applying them being so nice, I love carrying them around and topping up my lips.
All in all, I think these are a great addition to the line and a perfect option for those that want a nice wash of colour whilst also moisturising them.
Check them out guys!

Hey Beauties!

As much as I am a fan of drug store makeup, Rimmel were a brand that I never had a lot of love for which is surprising as they're one of the most affordable makeup brands out there.
When I was teenager, I tried a few of their products but I never got on with them, probably due to the fact that my teenage self applied makeup wrong and wore far too much of it!

Over the past few months, I started to dabble in the Rimmel aisle and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the products I tried.
One recent release that has been getting a good amount of coverage online is the new Nude Foundation, another addition to the Lasting Finish line.
Now I do enjoy quite a bit of coverage when it comes to my bases, but I've also been known to enjoy the more natural look and occasionally want to treat my dry skin to a more lightweight and hydrating base.
So I decided to pick up this new launch and see what all the fuss was about!

What They Say
This lightweight formula blends smoothly and evenly, hiding fine lines and imperfections for a poreless and seamless complexion.
The fluid-like texture is enhanced with a moisturising serum gel for that natural feel that looks great with flawless coverage.
It also contains SPF20 and Vitamin E for extra care.

What I Say
I really like the packaging and think it's a real stand-out for the drug store with it's pump applicator, glass bottle and nice white lid.
I also liked the fact that it contains a serum as like I said my skin is dry so I love products that give some coverage while also nourishing the skin underneath.
I applied this like all my bases, with a buffing brush in circular motions to really work the product into the skin to get that airbrush finish.
It has a not too thick texture, offers light to medium coverage and just feels weightless on the skin so that it feels like you have nothing on your face.
It's definitely buildable and it leaves a satin type finish to the skin, making you look radiant and healthy.
It has great lasting power on me and I can get the full day out of it without ending up an oily mess.
All in all, this is a total slam dunk from Rimmel and I think you guys should definitely check it out!

Left - No Makeup. Right - Wearing this foundation.

Rimmel products are available in Boots, Superdrug and all good pharmacies for only €8.99.
